Träume der schläfrigen Wälderziege in der Herbstnacht - piano, harp, shakuhachi
This piece was influenced by aesthetics of free atonality, early twentieth century Impressionism and traditional Japanese music. The title evokes the dream sequences of a sleeping goat in the forest. This is represented through the progression between dark and peaceful moods. The dreamlike aspects of the piece is emphasized by a free-time shakuhachi solo in the middle section of the piece, utilizing the meditative qualities of the instrument.
